Full Job Description

Our Capital Management Senior Manager leads the team responsible for managing the Balance Sheet capital and capital plans and optimises capital performance including leading the development of the use of the Internal Model outputs. The Capital Management Senior Manager is key to setting up and interpreting modelling output, communicating the insights from this within the team and to the business. What You'll Spend Your Time Doing

  • Develop and implement capital structure strategies to support the company's long-term financial goals, including preparation and presentation of capital plans to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain robust capital management processes and framework including contribution to an effective ORSA process.
  • Produce the capital plan for the annual business planning exercise, including appropriate capital stresses.
  • Lead the development of the use of the Internal Model outputs in appropriate areas such as business planning, reinsurance and pricing.
  • Work with the business to understand climate change risk and work with the capital modelling team on how the risk is reflected in the capital model.
  • Work to develop and maintain relationships across the MS Amlin actuarial community.
  • Deliver and present the required papers to the Investment Committee and Risk & Solvency Committee, in line with their terms of reference.
  • Navigate the relationship with Lloyds, understanding communication requirements in order to maintain a good relationship.
  • Develop and maintain external relationships and knowledge to keep abreast of industry issues affecting capital management.
  • Conduct financial analysis and modelling to support capital investment decisions.

  • What you'll need
  • Significant level of experience, including experience in relevant roles, such as capital management or capital modelling.
  • Qualified actuary.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and manage accurate, thoughtful, detail-oriented work within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to provide and withstand technical challenge from a wide audience.
  • Calmness under workload pressure.
  • Organisation and planning skills.

    Competitive Base Salary
