Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the York and Selby Care Home and Dementia team for 37.5 hours per week.

You will need to be enthusiastic and highly motivated and have experience in the completion of assessments and delivery of care for patients experiencing mental health difficulties in a private care providers within the community. The Care Home and Dementia team works collaboratively with the Community Mental health teams to provide assessment and treatment for people with dementia over 7 days.

This post is open to suitably experienced Occupational Therapists, Nurses and Social Workers.

Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010., The post holder will be responsible for the management of a caseload of patients and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. They will also be required to provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior members of the team. There will also be an expectation that the successful candidate will support students and learners within this clinical setting.

The post-holder will be required to travel across the York and Selby area and therefore applicants must be capable of independent travel.
