Full Job Description

Our Care Support Workers carry out assigned tasks involving direct patient care supervised by a Registered Nurse. They work as an integrated member of the team, assisting with nursing tasks according to agreed policies. They maintain the patient's dignity and self-respect at all times, achieving a high standard of care. Our Care Support Workers have an allocated team but they may be expected to work in different areas within the hospital as required. Care Support Workers are accountable for ensuring the highest standard of care is delivered and will constantly promote patient safety, effective care and a positive patient experience at each stage of the patient's journey.

We are looking for compassionate individuals who are capable of providing excellent care to patients in a busy, challenging and rewarding environment.Care experience preferred, full training and induction provided.Our teams at HDFT are supportive and friendly and will always assist new staff where needed.

This is a full time role and will require full flexibility in terms of working a mix of shifts. It is essential that you can work a mix of weekdays, weekends, both days and nights (see times below) including bank holidays and Christmas.

  • Early - 07:15 to 15:15
  • Late - 12:15 to 20:15hrs
  • Night - 19:45hrs to 07:45hrs
