Full Job Description

Torbay and South Devon has embarked upon an ambitious EPR Implementation Programme to modernise and transform the way in which services are provided to our patients. The post holder will play a key role in shaping and supporting digital transformation at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. This will be a pivotal role in the adoption and optimisation of our EPR which will include developing new workflows to be designed and implemented across the organisation in collaboration with our neighbouring partners. This role will ensure digital transformation is achieved in a way which enables continued cultural/behavioural change within the sphere of health informatics, championing our digital opportunities and maximising staff and stakeholder engagement. The Change Lead is key to providing the bridge between the EPR Programme Team and the clinical and operational teams across the Trust., The post holder will be accountable to the Business Change Manager for successful delivery of change management plans and activities to support the EPR Implementation. The Change Lead will:

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, using these relationships to facilitate service led change and assess the capability and capacity for transformational digital change
  • Devise individual change management plans and work with staff throughout the implementation journey using a blend of engagement, communication & education to support their transition to the new ways of working
  • Liaise with the Benefits Manager and / or benefits owners to ensure that continued accrual of benefits can be achieved and measured after the project has been completed for the organisation.
  • Ensure Business Change Manager is supported with relevant metrics during implementation of new digital implementations and innovations to demonstrate effectiveness.
  • Working for our organisation Why Work With Us You will work as part of the EPR Programme Team to support clinical and operational departments to implement new ways of working across Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. Transformation of services will be underpinned by the implementation of Epic as our new Electronic Patient Record.,
  • Develop mechanisms to engage and empower staff in allocated areas to contribute to the digital implementations and their training needs in respect of digital transformation.
  • Ensuring stakeholders are fully supported with change techniques and tools to aid implementation and embedding of digital initiatives.
  • To participate in complex process mapping days and use professional experience and knowledge of healthcare process to assist stakeholders in designing processes and workflows related to new digital innovations.
  • To conduct structured interviews and process observation with stakeholders contribute to the benefits measurement process and to design best practice
  • To work closely with stakeholders to ensure the change deliverables are fit for purpose and the outline benefits continue to have capacity to be realised.
  • Identify and support necessary changes in the business process to allow for successful and safe integration of various digital innovations
  • Supporting clinical group, clinical and administrative management teams to identify and plan for implementing the mechanisms by which large scale change can be delivered and measured.
  • In partnership with clinical and administrative management teams, orchestrating and overseeing a comprehensive suite of activities within the allocate areas to ensure staff receive robust support, and clear and consistent communication for a seamless transition and alignment with broader organisational vision.
