An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, enthusiastic and highly motivated junior sister/charge nurse to join our friendly team onStradbroke ward.

Stradbroke ward is a 27 bedded ward caring for patients with complex Gastroenterology and Surgical needs providing specialist care for patients with nutritional and alcoholic disorders. If you have experience of caring for Gastroenterology and/or Surgical patients, we would like to hear from you.

We pride ourselves in providing a supportive environment to develop knowledgeable and competent practitioners. There are various opportunities to continue to develop skill and a career pathway. For example, we offer training surrounding acute gastroenterology presentations, the deteriorating patient and emergency and elective surgical care., We are looking for an individual who will support the ward sister in leading and developing the wonderful nursing team in this department and promote multi- disciplinary working.

You will provide inspirational leadership to the department, be positively welcoming, effective and act as a credible role model.

You will have well-developed communication, change management and organisational skills, with a positive attitude and share in our vision and commitment to continuously develop and improve.

You should be caring, compassionate, forward thinking, well organized and have a positive attitude towards flexibility and change.
