Full Job Description

  • Manage hazardous waste handling operations including assessment, listing, packaging, and labelling of waste materials at customer sites, ensuring compliance with road transport and special waste regulations
  • Generate transport documentation and quotes using IT systems, while maintaining accurate records and swift processing of all paperwork to meet customer expectations
  • Supervise waste operatives and sub-contractors, including oversight of dangerous loads, sampling of wastes, and spillage clearance
  • Provide technical expertise to customers and colleagues while ensuring excellent customer relations and adherence to site rules
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and company property while assisting at the transfer station as needed
  • Comply with Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, COSHH regulations, and all relevant legislation
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management, including assessment of new enquiries and maintenance of company standards, We know how important it is to be fully committed to building and maintaining a diverse and inclusive place to work for every one of our colleagues.     Degree/HNC in Chemistry or relevant scientific qualification, plus sound knowledge of environmental legislation
  • Full valid driving licence required
  • ADR certification, forklift licence, and first aid qualification desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-focused approach
  • High level of literacy and numeracy, with flexibility in working hours and enthusiasm for continuous learning
