Full Job Description

An Exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time play leader to join our Children's Community Nursing Team based at St Luke's Hospital.
The role is very varied to support Children's Community Nurses as well as Clinical Nurse Specialists, to provide preparation and distraction for medical procedures and to alleviate fears and misconceptions using play and creative activities.
You will also work alongside the wider BTHFT teams to support children who have feeding aversions and advise parents of how to develop a positive feeding experience.

We are looking for someone with experience working with children 0-18 years to promote play and stimulation appropriate to their stage of development and physical and emotional needs., You will also need to have experience of working with children who have a palliative diagnosis and can support the family with memory making and offering opportunities for them to explore their thoughts and feelings.
Communication is very important, you will manage your own workload, maintaining excellent documentation and time keeping.
