Full Job Description

We are looking for Cleaners to work as part of our cleaning team and carry out cleaning duties to ensure areas of school are cleaned to a high level. The role is for 10 hours per week term time only including TED days and the working day is from 4pm to 6pm Monday to Friday. You will be required to work during the holiday period for a limited time using bank hours, to be agreed depending upon the scheduled deep cleaning work being carried out. Salary Level is SC1. The Cleaner, under the direction of the Cleaner In Charge, will:

  • Provide a clean and pleasant environment in order to facilitate the effective use of the school by those staff and pupils who occupy it
  • Maintain cleanliness in order to prevent any health risks from occurring
  • Ensure Health and Safety compliance as well as ensure legal regulations and approved codes of practice are met

    The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
