Full Job Description

Provide an organised and efficient reception and clerical service on behalf of the department in line with Trust policies and procedures. Ensure that referrals are processed effectively and that National and local access targets are met. To maintain the consultants' clinic templates, reducing and cancelling clinics as necessary. This role incorporates multi-tasking as the unit is self-contained and deals with the entire administration of patient care from first referral to discharge. The post is cross site at both Warrington and Halton hospitals.
The post holder will be the first point of contact for staff, patients and visitors to the department., 1.Retrieval & preparation of case notes/x-rays/model boxes
2. Reception of Orthodontic/Oral Surgery Clinics
3. Make follow-up appointments
4. Deal with telephone queries
5. Filing of case notes
6. Fax/Photocopy/Input data onto computer system/Typing
7. Register new patients
8. Record departmental statistics
9. Record laboratory work and return forms on completion to finance
10. Weeding of case notes/x-rays
11. Deal with mail and distribute
12. Cancel clinics
13. Provide support to Office Supervisor
