Full Job Description

We're looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Mortality Improvement Programme. This role is central to advancing our work and offers an exciting opportunity to move projects from planning to action. Hosted by North Bristol, this role offers a unique chance to grow your professional portfolio and work with NBT and UHBW on a fantastic collaborative programme. Programme Vision Our vision for the mortality programme is to set new standards of excellence for mortality review and surveillance, and for our approach to become a regional and national model for learning from deaths and evidence-based care transformation.,

  • Develop and implement project controls, focusing on documentation.
  • Streamline systems and processes.
  • Solve complex issues and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Create reports and support benefits management.
  • Manage risks, engage stakeholders, and support projects
  • Act as an ambassador for the Mortality Improvement Programme., The role is hosted at NBT, based in Southmead Hospital, and reports to the Senior Programme Manager as part of the Chief Medical Officer's teams.
  • There are close links between the chief nursing officer's senior team and the team leaders within clinical governance, such as patient safety, patient experience, quality audit and assurance, and quality governance systems. There are strong relationships with the BNSSG Lead Medical Examiner and the wider team, which is hosted operationally at NBT but is independent in line with the statutory requirements of the Medical Examiner Service. The focus on improvement is achieved collaboratively with the ME Service whilst respecting its independence in delivering its nationally mandated functions. We are an ambitious team passionate about identifying meaningful clinical projects with a strong ethos of continuous improvement. This is achieved through strong engagement with frontline teams, Clinical Divisions, and particularly their senior leadership and governance teams. Whilst the role is based at Southmead, we offer flexibility in working on and off-site while ensuring that role objectives are achieved.

  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
