Full Job Description
We have a vacancy of 1 x 26.5 hour Fixed Term/Secondment post and 1 x 30 hour Permanent post.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-organised and committed nurse who is passionate about high standards of quality patient care for patients and families.
In conjunction with the wider Practice Development Team (PDT) you will contribute to North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust's Nursing and Midwifery strategic development by ensuring quality improvement and safe practice are central to the education, training and development process whilst acting as a professional role model and clinical expert., Working collaboratively with Lead Clinical Educator and Clinical Facilitators for Surgery delivering training, education and to support the practice and professional development of all registered Nurse, Nursing Associates and Registered Practitioners relating to the care of patients within the Surgery Division and across the Trust as required.
You will also work as part of the Practice Development Team to facilitate training and education to clinical staff Trust wide, ensuring that staff are competent to deliver safe and effective care.
This is an essential post for nurse education in clinical practice and a fundamental requirement of the role is consistent and effective role-modelling and leadership for nurses and other professional groups within the Division and Trust wide.
You must be a registered Nurse with a passion for nurturing and teaching, consistent strong values, be able to influence change through persistence, diplomacy and vision., Work clinically alongside nurses within clinical practice to support transition into clinical teams.
Delivery of education and training
Work closely with the relevant ward managers to identify appropriate preceptors to aid the integration of new starter nurses into their teams and support and delivery of the Trust Preceptorship Programme.
Develop and utilise innovative teaching styles to enhance skills, optimising and standardising high levels of patient care delivery.
