Full Job Description

With advanced clinical knowledge, interpersonal skills & leadership qualities you will be responsible for the delivery of the Gastroenterology service & Nutrition Support. You will provide comprehensive nutritional care for patients referred to our service and will work offering assessments in a variety of locations including virtual appointments. You will be responsible for:

  • Your own caseload of patients who require specialist gastro advice or oral nutrition support in the community offering holistic person-centred care
  • Joint working with Speech and Language therapist and other AHPs, Social care and Nursing colleagues.
  • Offering a hybrid approach including telephone/video, outpatient clinics and home visits as needed.
  • Supporting student placements (A, B and C placements)
  • Planning and delivering training (internal and external)
  • Triage of new diet referrals
  • Supervision of colleagues
  • Service innovation and development based on latest Evidence based information.
  • Involvement in clinical trials and audit.
  • As our service is developing and we are looking for someone who will contribute to the team in delivering an effective, safe and efficient service.

    We are looking for someone who can work as a highly specialist, autonomous dietitian with experience in managing gastroenterological diet issues and nutrition support in the community. You should have strong organisational, communication and leadership skills and embrace the challenge of service development.
