Full Job Description

We are looking for a confident clinical specialist nurse to work within the North Yorkshire & York (NY&Y) eating disorder service, specifically in the Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale (SWR) locality. We are interested in connecting with people who can inspire, embrace working as equal partners with internal and external stakeholders, help to design, support and oversee the delivery of the very best care and treatment for local people with eating disorders., The successful post holder will provide specialist advice, guidance, training, therapeutic support, and consultation as part of the multidisciplinary adult eating disorders service. This includes direct provision to service users using governed psychological intervention, proactive physical health care intervention and monitoring. Contributing to formulation of a services users need and creating evidence-based plans. Consultation to team colleagues and external health and care professionals working with people with eating disorders, and contributing to service development, evaluation and quality improvement initiatives for the support and services for people with disordered eating.

Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Applicants should be a registered nurse with excellent knowledge of mental health services from across the community system, including primary care, specialist services, local authority & the voluntary and community sector (VCSE).
