Full Job Description

You will need to be enthusiastic and conscientious and do everything you can to provide the best care to our service users. We are looking for someone who displays compassion, empathy and is sensitive in their approach to people who may be distressed or have a challenging manner. Our primary focus is on collaborative working; placing great emphasis on the assessment/recovery model by using assessment tools relating to service user recovery and the philosophy that underpins patient centred care. For this role, your duties will include: o Spending 1:1 time with service userso Providing direct patient care such as personal care and promoting activities of daily livingo Having a good understanding of mental health diagnoses and presentation including appropriate boundarieso Undertaking therapeutic observations of all service userso Supporting service users on a 1:1 basis who may require varying levels of supportoUndertaking physical management of violence and aggression training to manage challenging situationso Undertaking physical health observations and COVID swabbingo Taking service users on leave in the communityo Working with families and carerso Providing cross departmental working within the acute pathway as required
