Full Job Description
The Commercial Manager will lead the Contract and Agreements Specialists team which sits within the wider Client team. The team is responsible for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, providing liabilities management support and ensuring compliance is met in all agreements. You will have strong commercial acumen and extensive specialist contracts knowledge, as well as experience leading a small team., This is a full-time position, however we will be happy to discuss options regarding part time flexibility and job share if you would like to highlight this on your application. - Delivery of the outputs from the team of agreement specialists.
- Supporting the Head of Commercial Oversight and Client Director with commercial aspects, contractual responsibilities, and client stakeholder engagement.
- Ensuring EDF is compliant with the NG liabilities agreements.
- Managing and providing support to internal colleagues with contractual compliance and liabilities queries.
- Providing contractual liabilities knowledge to support the operation of established company processes, e.g. modifications / Engineering Changes.
- Providing team support with respect to the management of the interfaces between ENGL and external stakeholders on nuclear decommissioning contractual, cost recover and liabilities issues.
- Providing advice regarding disputes and support to proactively manage the resolution of them and any escalation and intervention required.
- Lead and support the provision of information to external stakeholders.
- Ensure internal governance processes are undertaken and improving upon processes where necessary.
- Identification of client reputational, contractual and cost recovery risks and identifying and driving the delivery of mitigations while maximising opportunities for cost recovery.
- Coach on technical aspects and expectations related to the agreements
- Pro-actively review developments in liabilities legislation and associated regulatory guidance to ensure that we are in a strong position to challenge, influence and implement any new requirements.

If so, this could be the role for you!, You will hold a HNC qualification as a minimum in a relevant subject. A degree in a related subject would be advantageous, as would chartership status in an appropriate institution. Contract Administration expertise and strong communication skills are essential: you will be required to proactively and effectively develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and maintain engagement between parties. You will have leadership qualities, as well as influencing and facilitation skills. You will have excellent time management skills, with the ability to work independently and to tight deadlines. Experience of defueling and decommissioning in the UK regulatory environment or working within a highly regulated business would be advantageous. To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
We can offer a competitive salary and you'll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Nuclear Generation Personal Contract as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.
