Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity within Network Rail High Speed for a Commercial Manager, We are looking for a Commercial Manager, to act as a commercial support resource for the route/programme. You will provide professional commercial expertise and guidance to enable the route/programme to achieve compliance with relevant business targets, processes and procedures. You will assist in the resolution of commercial issues and also act as the champion within the function when these issues require escalation.

  • A good knowledge of the construction industry and relation supply chains (including commercial and contract administration processes)?
  • An excellent understanding of works delivery contracts?
  • Are you highly numerate?
  • The ability to communicate at all levels (both internally and externally)
  • Effective and proven negotiation skills?
  • NEC experience?
  • Although it isn't essential, it would be an added bonus if you held membership with an appropriate professional organisation.

    Network Rail High Speed Ltd. (NRHS) is responsible for operating and maintaining the UK's only international high-speed railway, High Speed (HS1). The 109km HS1 infrastructure consists of a diverse range of railway assets such as the track, signalling, overhead line, lineside buildings, depots, viaducts and long tunnels. NRHS is also responsible for operating and maintaining three international stations; St Pancras, Stratford and Ebbsfleet International.     The role is based at One Stratford place, however frequent travel to our other office and site locations along the High Speed line is expected. What can we offer you in return?
