Community Housing Assistant

This is a great opportunity for a Community Housing Assistant to join our awesome housing team in Surrey and West London. As our Community Housing Assistant (CHA) you're the face-to-face customer support to our communities. If you like variety, meeting and supporting customers, and want to develop a career in housing, then this is the perfect job for you! Typical day as our Community Housing Assistant

• Through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estates, you'll really get to get to know our communities.
• You'll support our housing managers to look after their patches and through this, help us to improve our local neighbourhoods.
• You'll support with tasks such as managing our voids processes which includes liaising with local authorities, area inspections, engaging and meeting with contractors on site.
• You'll carry out and record the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities.
• You'll also manage the admin updating records, ordering, and arranging payment for works to be done.

• A "can do" positive attitude, you're proactive and well organised, able to work on your initiative.
• A real passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.
• Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business and external partners
• An understanding of housing management, housing law and universal credit would be ideal, but they're not deal breakers!
• The ability to use technology to navigate our systems and update customer records
• An appreciation that this is a role where you'll spend much of your time lone working in our local estates.

• This is a hybrid role and in an average week, you'll spend your time working from our communities in Surrey and West London.
• Although you'll often be in our neighbourhoods, we do get together regularly.
• There may be some flexibility to adapt your working hours, do let us know if necessary when you meet us at the interview
• We mainly work Monday to Friday and occasional evenings to meet with customers. The great news is that you'll be able to shape your own diary.
• To get from A to B, you'll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we'll pay your mileage!
• You'll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
