Full Job Description

Do you have the skills and experience to manage a fast-paced dynamic service? We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Team Manager to be integral part of the North Yorkshire and York Liaison and Diversion services.
The post holder will have excellent communication and person skills and have extensive experience of working with individuals in mental health, learning disability or criminal justice services and experience of managing a team.
The Liaison and Diversion Service works with individuals who come in to contact with the Criminal Justice System. The team works to identify individuals who have identified vulnerabilities, such as mental health, across custody suites, courts and community across York, Harrogate and Scarborough.
The team manager will be expected to lead by example, providing strong leadership while being accessible to staff. They will be flexible in their approach to managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the service maintaining agreed standards of service, and leading, motivating and developing staff.
The team will be multi-disciplinary and the successful candidate will work collectively with senior clinical staff to provide a comprehensive vulnerability model to support individuals within criminal justice system., The clinical team leader will also support the Liaison and Diversion Practitioners to establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior delivery partners within the Prison, Local Authority, Probation, Police, Adult Social Care, Mental Health Services, and other providers to coordinate care plans which will support individuals to engage with local services., The Team Manager will provide operational management of the Liaison and Diversion Service, including accountability for ensuring the highest professional standards and attitudes towards the care of patients are maintained and delivered at all times in accordance with evidence-based practice. They will be pivotal in developing this service.
They will have excellent skills in communication, engagement and collaborative working and have experience of working in mental health services, preferably with knowledge of the criminal justice system
