Full Job Description

The Complex Security Lead will work with the Head of Operational Security and the Security Operations Manager to give governance and direction to the Security Assurance team. You will work closely with key colleagues and stakeholders to ensure our new buildings and refurbishments are designed to the required standards. You will review our existing portfolio to ensure that our physical security measures (CCTV, Access Control, Security Doors, IDS, etc.) are compliant and regularly maintained. You will also represent the team and liaise with the Government Security Group (GSG) to ensure that policy and procedure is compliant and also supportive of GPA's requirements. You will also lead a number of projects aimed at future proofing our security delivery and to achieve value for spend.,

  • Work with colleagues from GPA Capital Projects, Workplace Services and other stakeholders to ensure that our building projects will deliver a fully secure building. This involvement starts at the concept and design stage and will be followed through to Practical Completion and handover.
  • Design and deliver reviews of our existing portfolio in terms of security systems deployed to ensure adequate maintenance, repair and life cycle replacement.
  • Following a 2025 tender process, manage day to day a security technology contract across our London portfolio.
  • Develop process and procedure for the Assurance function, to support our strategy and align with GSG.
  • Attend internal, customer and supplier Security meetings and forums as required
  • Active participation in wider Security forums to develop insights and share good practice, acting as an Ambassador for GPA services
  • Lead on longer term projects to identify and deliver a sustainable and cost effective service in line with evolving technology capability.
