Full Job Description

The Branded Business Unit (BBU) is at the heart of William Grant & Sons, and is responsible for the development, growth, and sale of our award-winning brands to customers globally. The Compliance & Control team sits in the centre of this business unit working with regional and marketing teams to ensure we operate within a strong control environment and are compliant in the many markets in which we operate. Main Responsibility You will be leading and driving compliance programs and activities across the Branded Business Unit (BBU) at WG&S, by proactively working with each market to establish a robust compliance and controls framework, identify the key controls and to monitor these on an ongoing basis. You will co-ordinate all such programs and activities with the Legal Counsel and Internal Audit team. You will be supporting the successful growth of BBU markets through the robust administration and governance of new and existing legal entities in the region. You will be required to coordinate the requirements and workload of the central support function leads (Finance, HR, Audit, Legal, Tax) with local management teams and external advisors to ensure all legal and statutory obligations are understood and met. As a result of this, you will be working with teams across the whole business and building strong relationships with these teams. You will partner with the commercial finance leads in several of the areas of the compliance agenda, building a strong understanding of the commercial business. Our Ideal Candidate You will be a qualified with audit experience and strong communication and excel skills. You will be able to work autonomously when required but be comfortable playing an active role in supporting others to deliver larger projects. You will also be confident in your abilities to communicate (both verbal and written) well with and build rapport with stakeholders and leaders across the business and be able to establish positive working relationships with individuals across the globe, remotely.
