  • We are currently looking to appoint two Consultants into the Haematology partnership to join the team initially on the Barnsley District General Hospital site. We are committed to move to a combined Inpatient model to create a single-site Inpatient facility at the Rotherham site, serving a combined population of approximately 500,000. Rotherham has an established home chemotherapy service with ambitions to expand this across the region. It also offers a supra-regional ECP service treating patients with GvHD and Cutaneous T Cell Lymphoma. Both Barnsley and Rotherham contribute to the South Yorkshire regional MDT and Laboratory services have full national accreditation. Our nearest tertiary referral centre is only 10 miles away in Sheffield, and the region enjoys excellent collaborative working relationships. We would welcome applications from candidates who have particular subspecialty interests and are happy to accommodate and develop sub-specialty roles. There will be mentorship provided from senior member(s) of the team within the department depending on the successful candidates needs. The combined model will also enable to develop other interests including medical education roles, mentorship and leadership opportunities across both sites., The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is a combined acute and community provider delivering a range of health care services to people in Rotherham and across South Yorkshire.
