Full Job Description

A vacancy has arisen for a Consultant in General Internal Medicine (with an interest in Respiratory), this is a full-time position. This is an exciting time to join the Respiratory Department at HDFT. The successful applicant will join a friendly, well-established and innovative multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of high quality care to patients with specialist problems in respiratory medicine. We have a successful respiratory outreach team. There are excellent opportunities for the post holders to develop new or existing services according to their clinical interests.. The post holders will participate in the acute unselected medical on call rota.,

  • Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of patients.
  • To share with colleagues responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Respiratory Department.
  • Cover duties in respiratory and acute medicine as per job plan.
  • Teaching and training of junior staff and medical students.
  • To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit.
  • To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing professional development (CPD).
