Full Job Description

You will be expected to:

Develop and implement the Council's consultation and engagement strategy, utilising innovative approaches and providing leadership, advice and support within the organisation.
Project manage and/or lead on major consultation and engagement activities as required, working with Leadership and Elected Members across the Council, ensuring all are delivered within agreed budgets.
Manage the Council's main point of contact for the Community Grants programme providing advice, working with the Communities Officer and Elected Members on the Grants Panel to successfully deliver the programme.
To procure and performance manage outsourced consultation contracts and service.
Advise internal stakeholders on the most effective and appropriate approaches to consultation and engagement on various projects, from service changes to corporate priorities.

We're looking for brilliant, motivational individual with a strong track record of implementing consultation and engagement strategies, collaborating with elected members and partners, and innovating for the benefit of our communities.

You will have a relevant degree or significant experience of consultation and community engagement, as well as developing consultation and engagement activities, in support of corporate priorities.
