We have an excellent opportunity for the Consumer Duty Oversight Manager to join our friendly and supportive Compliance department in our central Bristol offices. The successful candidate will have responsibility for overseeing regulatory compliance of the business's Consumer Duty obligations. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, you'll look to ensure the Consumer Duty retains a high profile throughout the company and that related initiatives maintain appropriate visibility and momentum. This is a varied role, and you'll assist the first line of defence in understanding and implementing the operational impacts that Consumer Duty has on its operations and management information. In addition, you will also be involved in ensuring appropriate management information is obtained to evidence that good outcomes are being achieved for the customer and assist in the production of the annual report for the Board of Directors. As part of Senior Leadership Team, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of ARAG UK's Strategy and support the communication of the strategy to the wider business, ensuring that regulatory expectations are understood and met. In addition, key responsibilities will include:
- Engage with appropriate SMFS and Heads of first line functions to advise and assist with their Consumer Duty obligations.
- Attend the Consumer Duty Outcome Review Forums and advise in respect of outcome data and monitoring
- Advise in respect of the production of MI produced by Consumer Duty Outcome Review Forums to evidence Consumer Duty compliance
- Assist Committee Chairs with management of Consumer Duty Oversight Committee
- Facilitate cross-functional co-operation and engagement on all aspects of customer outcome monitoring and improvement actions through attendance at the Consumer Duty Outcome Review Forums and Consumer Duty Working Groups
- Act as the focal point for information and enquiries in respect of Consumer Duty obligations and activity
- Engage with the Consumer Duty Champion as appropriate to inform them as to the compliance with the Consumer Duty in the business.
- Oversee the completion of action plans in respect of Consumer Duty compliance.
- Monitor the management of Vulnerable Customers to ensure their outcomes are no different to the general customer population and that appropriate adaptions are in place to safeguard good outcomes
We are keen to hear from candidates with proven experience within the Compliance industry at management level. You will have demonstrable knowledge of the FCA and PRA regulatory matters, as well as knowledge and awareness of Consumer Duty requirements. It is essential that you have proven experience managing stakeholders at senior level (including Board and CEO). In addition, the ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: - Relevant compliance qualifications or equivalent industry experience (desirable)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts to improve the relationship and reputation of ARAG Compliance within the business.
- Encourage teamwork and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills both inside and outside the department.
