This Control Systems Integration Analyst (Cyber Security Focus) will report to the Control Systems Support Manager and will work within (Technology, Strategy Regulation and Support Services based in our Ipswich office. You will be a permanent employee., The Control Systems Integration Analyst (Cyber Security Focus) supports the integration, testing, and assurance of cyber security measures and system enhancements for Operational Technology (OT) environments. You will ensure the successful implementation of cyber security goals while also providing operational support across the entire control systems portfolio, including SCADA, DMS, OMS, and associated applications. You will be a bridge between system design and operations, ensuring that all control systems and cyber security solutions are integrated, thoroughly tested, and operate reliably to meet business and regulatory requirements. Principal Accountabilities :

  • Integration and Assurance
  • Help integrate cyber security technologies into existing OT systems, ensuring compatibility and compliance with the National Cyber Security Centre's Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) Enhanced Profile.
  • Conduct system testing and validation to confirm functionality, security, and resilience of integrated solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans to verify system performance and cyber security controls.
  • Manage and document system assurance activities to demonstrate compliance with security and operational requirements.
  • Operational Support
  • Provide support across the entire spectrum of control systems operations, including SCADA, DMS, OMS, and automation systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, ensuring 24/7 availability of critical systems.
  • Participate in control system updates, patches, and configuration changes to maintain system reliability and security.
  • Cyber Security Contribution
  • Help implement cyber security procedures to protect control systems and infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance and security metrics, escalating issues and providing recommendations for mitigation.
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Prepare detailed documentation for system integration, testing, and support activities.
  • Produce reports on system performance, testing outcomes, and cyber security compliance
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work with Control Systems Engineers, IS Security teams, and external vendors to help implement integrated solutions.
  • Nature and Scope: The Control Systems Integration Analyst operates within the Control Systems and Automation team, reporting to the Control Systems Support Manager. You will be critical to ensuring that new cyber security measures and system upgrades are implemented, tested, and operationally supported. The post holder supports UK Power Networks' broader cyber resilience and operational objectives, contributing to both the security and performance of OT systems. By working across design, testing, and operational domains, you will ensure that control systems are reliable, secure, and compliant with regulatory requirements. You will help integrate the latest cyber security measures while maintaining the operational excellence of control systems, ensuring UK Power Networks' compliance in a evolving landscape.

    You should hold an ONC level or equivalent industry qualifications.,
  • Experience in control systems or OT environments, with a focus on system integration and testing.
  • Familiarity with cyber security principles and frameworks, particularly the CAF Enhanced Profile.
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and tools for validating system performance and security.
  • Technical understanding of SCADA, DMS, OMS, and automation systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a complex technical environment.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Perl) for system monitoring and reporting.
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Desirable
  • Knowledge of network protocols and industry standards such as DNP3 and WISP+.
  • Experience working within regulatory frameworks for utilities or OT environments.

    You will attract a salary of £61,723 and a bonus of 3%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) - 3 days in the office and 2 remote
