Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute towards our work in promoting and embedding our counter fraud function. Working with the counter fraud manager as part of a small team we are looking for an experienced, professional, motivated person who will take the lead on reactive and proactive fraud investigations through to the appropriate conclusion.
You will help develop a culture of fraud awareness, prevention, detection and investigation across CQC and deliver against our action plan.
Your work will help identify fraud risk in CQC and help contribute towards reducing our exposure to fraud through our fraud risk assessments.
This is a national role so you’ll need to be flexible, adaptable and willing to travel when necessary., Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. For example, an accredited counter fraud specialist, or be able to demonstrate significant relevant experience of working in an investigative environment within the public sector, civil service or UK health sector with an understanding of the criminal justice process.
You will have experience of conducting criminal and civil investigations and must be comfortable working on your own and as part of a wider team.
You will have excellent communication and presentation skills and be able to explain complex issues in a way that is easy to understand.
You will have analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to apply sound judgement.
You will need to build relationships with a variety of partners both internally, within CQC, across central government, and with other external stakeholders including law enforcement organisations.
You must hold or be willing to obtain security check clearance.
