Full Job Description

Want to be part of a hyper growth, fast paced, global business that is radically changing the decades old delivery universe as we know it? If so, read on, as we're looking for a Data & Insights Analyst to join our Logistics & Network Analytics team! Our mission? To switch up the status quo and become the UK's leading out-of-home business. With a fast-growing network of thousands of smart lockers, hundreds of leading retail partners and the launch of our InPost collection points, we're bringing freedom to anyone with a parcel. On our path to transforming e-commerce delivery in the UK, we're building an unparalleled group of talent that's hungry to help us disrupt the industry (find our 2023 annual report here). Our team is packed full of top-notch experts in e-commerce, technology, scale-up growth, sustainability, logistics and supply-chain. We're a passionate bunch and expectations are high, but we're team players - collaborating, supporting, and leaving egos at the door. About the role: As a Data & Insights Analyst at InPost UK, you will play a critical role in both determining our locker expansion priorities and ensuring that we operationally execute against our strategic plan. In other words, this role provides the opportunity to have a major impact in creating the UK's leading out-of-home network! What you'll be doing:

  • Contribute to our emerging network design function - you will be responsible for the criteria / algorithm we use to identify attractive locker locations, as well as managing the processes we use to review site lists and regional priorities
  • Monitor and derive insights from our network performance - analyse and report on performance and collaborate cross-functionally to provide actionable insights for business partners
  • Analytics support on key strategic initiatives - you will be responsible for modelling potential impacts and deriving actionable insights from our data as well as driving operational execution of our priorities
  • Support logistics network capacity initiatives from an analytics perspective and influence actionable recommendations
  • Reporting, ad-hoc and regular analyses - Maintain the critical backbone of the team's data-driven decision-making
  • Build automated tools and dashboards to visualise data sets
  • Make sense of imperfect data sets to enable decision-making
  • Manage data and insights requests from internal and external stakeholders, prioritising by impact and constrained by resources
  • Gather and understand additional data requirements (internal and external) necessary to drive improved decision-making, and work with data engineers to source and implement this data

Proven professional experience gained in consulting/strategy/analytics, ideally in a top-tier consultancy, tech company, logistics company or marketplace
  • Experience in a similar analytical role, ideally in a fast-paced, expanding business
  • Scientific and highly analytical approach to everything you do, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. You know how to use data to make decisions
  • Experience with statistical analysis, regression modelling and forecasting, time series analysis, data mining, demand modelling & ideally geospatial analysis
  • Highly skilled at interpreting data, synthesising and communicating actionable insights through a structured and compelling output, e.g. decks for Exec Team
  • Collaboration and communication skills - the ability to explain technical concepts and analysis with simplicity
  • Degree in Economics, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • High degree of ownership and the attitude of rising to challenges in a growing business
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, wading through the trees to eventually find the forest
  • Systems experience
  • Proficient with data visualisation and insights tools such as: PowerBI, Tableau, Looker or comparable software to clearly visualise key insights & create automated reporting
  • Advanced Excel proficiency working across large data set
  • Proficient with SQL and experience with Python or other relevant scripting language
