Full Job Description

This position is a key support function for the Haleon Consumer Health GBI Demand Planners, responsible for a variety of key reporting functions in the Demand Planning Team. Not only will you deliver regular reports for use by the demand planners, but you will be expected to spot opportunities for continuous improvement and positive change in these processes. You will provide impact and analysis insights and will be tasked with removing inefficient activities from the process and establishing new and improved ways of working. You will be a central planning point of contact for projects, fresh innovations and initiatives. Will assess the impact of major changes on the demand forecasting group. This will include assigning responsibilities around the team and running meetings designed to use project performance to identify key learnings which can be applied moving forward.,

  • Creating and update regular reports - drawing out key insights and delivering them in a range of forums.
  • Driving a better understanding of forecast accuracy and forecast bias metrics across demand team (shared with Commercial).
  • Working with Finance, Insights, Sales & Marketing teams to drive meaningful demand insight into brand reviews
  • Interpreting the key trends impacting individual account performance.
  • Provide an accurate volume and value demand plan, based on Sales & Marketing Intelligence
  • Supporting the allocations process, able to make decisions in line with strategy, participate in weekly meetings and meet all timelines in the daily and weekly rhythm of this process
  • Working effectively with managers (to Controller level) in the Commercial, Finance and Supply organisations and will become a member of the Multi-Function Team for designated Brand
  • Liaison with central supply chain and commercial category organisations concerning NPI forecasts
  • Developing demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
  • Reviewing historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, support transition towards statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Coordinating cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
  • Use and maintenance of the Demand Planning software (SAP) as the primary forecasting system tool as a CERPS Super User
  • Manage Phase In / Phase Out Tracker and maintain 'Ready to Plan' for Demand Planning for GB Product Portfolio changes

  • High performing trusted and highly regarded team so you will need to maintain high levels of accuracy while delivering actionable intel which can inform wider decision making across the business., Experience in a role where regular reporting and analytics is required
  • Some understanding of a consumer environment
  • Good level of numeracy with the ability to manage, analyse and interpret complex data
  • Strong communicator with team building skills
  • Extensive spreadsheet analysis
  • Ability to consolidate and articulate insights concisely.
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Degree
  • Experience in supply chain or demand planning role
  • Training in Macro's for Excel
  • SAP
  • Knowledge of processes and supporting systems within a Commercial FMCG industry environment
  • BI experience and interest in digital technology would be an advantage
