Are you an experienced senior general manager looking for a new challenge in a prestigious healthcare setting?

As Deputy Divisional Director, you will lead the planning, management, and development of a portfolio of top-notch services, championing the modernisation and enhancement of patient care in conjunction with the wider multi-disciplinary team. Within your portfolio will be Bristol Eye Hospital, one of the UK's leading specialist hospitals, and we're seeking a dynamic leader to join the multi-disciplinary leadership team for the service. We're looking for you to play a pivotal part in shaping the strategic direction of this renowned institution, overseeing operations within a culture of collaborative excellence.

In this role, you will be part of a hospital with over 200 years of history in eye care, supporting ground-breaking research and innovative treatments, and contributing to studies that influence global standards in eye care. You will also belong to a vibrant community that values teamwork, respect, and excellence., This role demands dynamic leadership, cultivating excellence in recruitment, staff retention, teamwork, and active staff participation in decision-making. Financial accountability is crucial, as the post holder is responsible for meeting income and expenditure targets, optimising service delivery and profitability through effective contract management, and ensuring swift action for income recovery. You will also spearhead efficiency and savings initiatives within your portfolio of services.

Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance hospital services, leading and mentoring the multidisciplinary team to achieve clinical and operational goals, driving quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations., welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
