Full Job Description

This is an exciting development opportunity to shape the provision of English and Maths for both Dearne Valley College learners and Adult part-time learners across the Group.
In this role you will:
+ Operationally lead the Maths & English team at Dearne Valley College and wider colleagues in respect of Study Programmes and Adult Provision across the Group.
+ Ensure the Maths & English curriculum is well planned, focused on the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning and supports learners to achieve their qualifications in English and Mathematics, making outstanding progress., Leading a team of Skills Coaches, Lecturers and Advanced Teachers, you will report to the Head of Department English and Maths and be part of the College Management Team.

As an experienced leader who has a strong track record of leadership within English and/or maths and excellence in teaching, you will use your extensive experience of curriculum development through effective planning and monitoring of progress in this role.
You will have a good understanding of the EIF and have strong interpersonal skills to be able to support and lead a team of diverse people.
You should have a degree or equivalent in English or Maths and hold a minimum of a Level 3 in the other specialism, along with evidence of recent and relevant CPD.
