Full Job Description

The Strategy Directorate is a central function bringing together Private Office, Parliamentary and legislative affairs, sponsorship of inquiries, arms length bodies and entities, delivery oversight, policy development and strategy.
This is a unique opportunity to support a senior leader on the Home Office Executive Committee and to see how the top of the Home Office operates.
This is also a unique opportunity for those who want to build a career in the Home Office and across Government, which will test your ability to work through others, make sound decisions and use your own judgement at pace., You will be joining a fun and dynamic team in an exciting part of the Home Office, being close to Ministers and decisions made by the government, assisting the Strategy Director and her teams deliver the Governments top priorities. The Strategy Directors Office is made up of a team of 4 led by a Grade 6 Chief of Staff., + Strategic management of the Strategy Directors diary to ensure their time is used effectively according to their priorities and there are no clashes. This includes leading the Director through a regular forward look of the diary and mapping future engagement activity based on key milestones.
+ Working with Directorate teams and the Directors office to ensure the Director has relevant briefing in a timely manner and booking travel and meeting rooms if required.
+ Building relationships across the Home Office Executive Committees private offices - this may include colleagues in your immediate team and Directorate, other Ministerial Private Offices, senior officials Private Offices, key internal and external stakeholders, and other stakeholders as needed.
+ Assisting the team corporate activities including supporting on recruitment, raising purchase orders, managing the Directorate virtual filing system and booking learning and development activity for the team.
+ Providing technical support to Directorate colleagues on corporate processes, including standard HR, finance and travel booking processes.
Working Pattern

2. Sift week commencing 11th November 2024.
The sift will be held on the Personal Statement and CV.
3. Interview week commencing 2nd December 2024.

The interview will take place in person at 2 Marsham Street, London. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed.
