Full Job Description
1. Assist the Dietitian when carrying out dietetic programmes as directed using skilled support work, which may be self-directed
2.Implement programmes as directed by the Dietitian including progressing agreed programmes without direct supervision when required following achievement of required competencies.
3. Assist the Dietitian working with groups of patients/carer's in variety of settings. This may be in an acute, community or outpatient setting.
4. Use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with patients and carer's to progress dietetic therapy, including with patients and carer's who may be depressed, have communication difficulties, sensory impairments or who may be unable to accept diagnosis.
5. Work and liaise with other members of the multi-disciplinary team as required.
6. Be responsible for maintaining accurate, comprehensive patient treatment records in line with Trust and professional standards
7. Ensure clinical skills are maintained through clinical supervision and continuing education.
8. Provide education and training as delegated
9. To participate in the induction, training of students and other staff where appropriate
10. Contribute towards the on-going development of services.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is keen to work with and support our community Dietetic service. This post would be an exciting opportunity for someone who has an interest in Dietetics and is looking to develop their skills within this area.
The post holder will have the opportunity to work in a range of hospital outpatient, inpatient and community settings. You may be required to provide cover cross site at Scunthorpe Hospital. There will be opportunity for you to work within groups as well as on a one to one. You will join an established team of Dietitians.
CPD is well supported and there will be the opportunity to undertake further training to develop skills as well as regular in-house supervision and training, to develop your skills in your areas of interest. We will provide a robust and flexible training package to work around the needs of the individual applicant.
