About the Team


The Communications Team is responsible for all communications conducted by HM Treasury and its Ministers. It works closely with policy teams, Ministers, and special advisors to communicate the full range of the Treasury’s work, through traditional and digital channels.

The team is high-performing, encouraging and fun. We work highly collaboratively across the different aspects of communications which includes press, digital, insight & strategy, events and visits and internal comms.

The Digital Communications team is made up of social media, publishing, design, animation, photographic and video specialists and works with communication colleagues to produce compelling and engaging content for a range of channels.


About the Job


Key Responsibilities

  • Film and edit best-in-class video content for the Treasury's social media channels, including filming visits and events with the Chancellor and ministerial team, high-profile economic announcements, and creative campaign videos.
  • Lead end-to-end video production, from initial concepts and storyboarding to filming, editing, and post-production including graphics.
  • Collaborate closely with communications, social media, and policy teams to create content that is clear, honest, and audience focused.
  • Complete technical aspects of video production, including camera work, lighting, sound recording, and sophisticated editing using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Livestream external events and work with the Digital Channels team to maximise digital engagement.
  • Stay current with emerging digital content trends and technologies to continuously innovate our communication strategies. Offer strategic support to the Treasury's ministerial team and wider department on video best-practice for social media channels.

Your portfolio will showcase your skills and demonstrate an innovative approach to visual communication, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, impactful narratives.
