Full Job Description

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Director to join our Leveraged & Infrastructure Finance Syndicate team based in London. You'll work as a product specialist, helping to originate, price, structure and execute loan and bond capital markets transactions for our non-investment grade clients across leveraged finance (SDF) and infrastructure and project finance (I&PF). Your accountabilities will include:

  • Assist SDF and I&PF origination teams with pitching and winning capital markets mandates.
  • Deliver internal approvals for underwriting risk through the preparation of memos and presentation to relevant internal committees (loans and bonds including bridging facilities where relevant).
  • Provide pricing for both senior and junior sub-investment grade debt instruments with reference to prevailing market conditions including, comparable analysis and secondary market trading; opine on terms (including legal documentation) to ensure that transactions are structured appropriately to clear market.
  • Prepare syndication and market related materials for pitches and RfP's with our partners in SDF and I&PF.
  • Own the syndication/ distribution of leveraged, infrastructure and project finance debt (loans and bonds) for sponsor-owned and corporate, sub-investment grade clients.
  • Research and analyse market data to support internal and external client interaction and underwriting decisions.
  • Build and manage relationships with colleagues from different departments (SDF, I&PF, Credit, Sales, CAM, CIDT, Coverage) and external customers (investor clients).
  • Take lead role in training and development of junior team members.

  • Expert in timely and accurate pricing of sub-investment grade loans and bonds for corporate and sponsor backed clients.
  • Deep credit, market and investor analysis skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of Bloomberg and Excel.
  • Strong investor relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in originating, structuring, pricing, and completing sub-investment grade loan and bond capital markets transactions.
