Full Job Description

  • Privacy Governance Framework and drive the businesses organizational data privacy readiness: Build and sustain a global privacy framework, communication, liaison and end-to-end overview of privacy and adjacent regulations. The majority of PIERS interactions are direct-to-patient (dtp), however the registry business is comprised of site and dtp registries, instrument licensing and license linked services and study services.
  • Privacy and adjacency include: GDPR, HITRUST, FEDRAMP, APPI , PIPEDA , APPs , and PIPL as examples.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Lead PIERS cross-functional privacy governance and compliance activities with essential partners in Global Privacy Office, Regional / Country-specific Data Privacy Officers, Information Governance and Privacy Analytics to support project teams and technology solutions.
  • Innovator: Prioritize and progress privacy program projects with a keen eye for analytics. Drive collaboration with various stakeholders to develop and perform high quality core processes, define requirements, provide insight and recommendations to consistently optimize all processes and related systems.
  • Vendor Oversight: Day-to-day management of third-party suppliers who perform Practice privacy processes.
  • Competency Definition - Research, synthesize, and present domain-specific recommendations on essential privacy competencies, including market, region, data type and technology privacy considerations, to drive practice compliance while supporting growth.
  • Product-Market Fit - In partnership with Global Privacy, Information Governance and country/regional privacy support regular evaluation of evolving regulatory and market changes, maintain product-level SWOT analyses and recommend immediate, short-term and long-term technical modifications to ensure compliance.
  • Product Strategy - Support translation privacy and adjacency requirements for product-market fit opportunities into product-level requirements and partner with Product Management, GTM, and segment teams to ensure compliance interpretation is understood to be executed upon.
  • Solution Consulting Guidance - Directly supports prospective and existing customer consulting projects with privacy advice and thresholds, in collaboration with other IQVIA teams
  • Sales Enablement - Support and/or inform sales engineering needs and incorporate privacy feedback into relevant strategy; where appropriate.
  • Client Partner - Reviews and approves Data Privacy Agreements. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure infrastructure is in place to ensure compliance.
  • Thought Leadership - Develops and evangelizes demonstrable patient privacy expertise in direct market factors and adjacencies; and with approval participates in industry conferences (podium talks and panels), supports and/or authors white papers and manuscripts; engages globally with Information Governance and Global Privacy in thought leadership.

    A minimum of 10 years of relevant and progressively responsible experience.
  • Responsible for compliance and exposure to global privacy regulations, at a minimum GDPR and US HITRUST, experience with the following is a plus: HIPAA , APPI, PIPEDA, APPs, or PIPL.
