Full Job Description

+ Supporting the SBS/Oracle system maintenance and being the 'go to' finance person for financial system queries including at the time of external audit.
+ Clearing control accounts at month and helping finalise the month end position.
+ Providing trust wide reports and business intelligence to support the divisions in finalising their positions.
+ Facilitating deep dives enacting problem solving reconciliations
+ Developing and maintaining complex databases to enable calculation of key financial planning assumptions such as inflationary uplifts and pay budgets.
+ Provide Financial Modelling support to the development of the Trust's Financial Strategy and Business Plans
+ To support management training and development, Month End Reporting:
1. Having an expert level understanding of the financial ledger and be the 'go to' person for financial system queries including at the time of external audit.
2. Clearing control accounts at month and helping finalise the month end position.
3. Providing trust wide reports and business intelligence to support the divisions in finalising their positions.
4. Facilitating deep dives enacting problem solving reconciliations

After years of collaboration, our two Trusts became a hospitals group in 2021. While remaining as two separate Trusts, being a hospitals group will help us to collaborate more closely on research, and the development, education, and training of our 17,000-strong workforce., 1. Having an expert level understanding of the financial ledger and be the 'go to' person for financial system queries including at the time of external audit.
2. Clearing control accounts at month and helping finalise the month end position.
3. Providing trust wide reports and business intelligence to support the divisions in finalising their positions.
4. Facilitating deep dives enacting problem solving reconciliations
Business Planning:
5. Developing and maintaining complex databases to enable calculation of key financial planning assumptions such as inflationary uplifts and pay budgets.
6. Provide Financial Modelling support to the development of the Trust's Financial Strategy and Business Plans
Other:
7. To effectively employ appropriate software, including excel and access as required, in the development of integrated business planning, strategic financial modelling and business case evaluation tools
8. To design, organise and deliver training, advice and support to senior managers, clinicians and project leads in the preparation of business cases & business planning process.
9. Undertake tender evaluations and lease evaluations if necessary. Produce comprehensive analysis of tenders and produce written reports making recommendations based on information provided in the bids.
10. Input into Strategic Financial Planning projects, and commercial developments.
11. To prepare adhoc costings on Trust wide developments and cost reduction programmes which support management decision making.
