Eating Disorder Practitioner

Rharian Fields Specialist Eating Disorder Unit offers a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive provision to individuals experiencing complex eating disorders. Specialist treatment plans are designed to meet individual needs based on clinical expertise and good practice determined by NICE and MEED Guidelines., You must be an excellent team player but also have the ability to work autonomously with our service users under supervision of senior staff members. You must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills that allow you to build and maintain professional working relationships with services users and the wider multi-disciplinary team.

Your role will require you at times to take on the role of shift leader ensuring that the day to day structure and running of the unit is adhered to and high standards are maintained. You will be required to facilitate therapeutic groups and 1-1 work with service users. You will also be required to develop your clinical skills including routine nursing observations, ECG's, nasogastric feeding regimes, re-feeding syndrome and related issues and accurately recording results in the service users records. You will be required to work closely with our unit doctors to ensure that any physical health abnormalities are addressed in a timely manner.

We are looking for a kind, caring and compassionate qualified nurse, who is highly motivated and dedicated to working with service users with complex eating disorders. Experience of working with or understanding eating disordered clients is preferential but not essential as training will be given. The successful applicant must be able to work to strict boundaries and adhere to comprehensive care plans.
