Full Job Description

Here at Octopus Energy ECO, we're responsible for delivering the government mandated eco obligation scheme on behalf of Octopus Energy! We are super passionate about helping customers on low income and benefits to improve the insulation in their homes, to help reduce their bills and carbon emissions We are looking for a forward thinking individual to join our growing ECO Operations team. You will work in collaboration with existing Head of Ops to ensure the successful completion of ECO4/GBIS as well as focus on the continual improvement of our model to enable future scheme success. Your primary focus will be in invoicing and notifications of projects and measures that have reached handover. This role offers remote working, although regular visits to one of our fantastic offices, such as those in London or Brighton is preferred.,

  • Lead: Oversight of the operational team tasked with ensuring timely partner payments and notify Ofgem of completed measures & projects. This will involve your team managing data led processes, invoicing and debt recovery as well as handling complex reporting critical to the scheme's success.
  • Innovate: Liaising with leadership team to roll out continual improvements to our model, ensuring the continued resilience of the model whilst challenging us to always improve. A key focus of this will be tech led upgrades and use of innovation, such as AI, to streamline manual tasks
  • You will lead & drive the vision, success, and team responsible for:
  • Run recurring "request for invoice" tasks to ensure partners are able to access payment of completed measures/projects
  • Ensure that subsequent payments requests are processed in a timely manner
  • Submit notifications of completed work to Ofgem within legislative timeframes
  • Work in collaboration with Ofgem and partners to ensure any queries, duplicates and data corrections are resolved in a timely manner
  • Deliver adjustments through invoicing and ensure reconciliation and debt recovery management
  • Close down measure/project rejections with Ofgem and through invoicing adjustments
  • Deliver reporting across whole business and develop an improved data visualisation solution
  • Deliver process improvements in line with our vision

    Proven ability to excel in high-pressure environments while consistently meeting critical deadlines, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and accurate results
  • Strong background in scheme delivery and/or extensive experience in managing billing and invoicing teams is beneficial, demonstrating a thorough understanding of project management, financial processes and compliance
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a successful track record of guiding teams through complex projects and cultivating a culture of accountability and collaboration
  • Experience in driving process improvements and implementing change initiatives, with a strong emphasis on automation and AI-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency
  • Expertise in reporting, spreadsheet management, and database management, ensuring data integrity and reliability in all operations
  • Outstanding communication and mathematical skills, enabling effective analysis and interpretation of data to support strategic decision-making
