Electrical Construction Fitter

We are looking for Low Voltage or High Voltage Electrical Construction Fitters to join our team in Southern England!, Safe delivery of construction projects in live electricity substation environments in line with operational safety rules and safety legislation. This will also include emergency response to fault scenarios.

Knowledge of the electricity distribution network and experience of working in live electricity substation environments from 11kV - 132kV.

- Previous experience will include working on DC battery systems, internal panel wiring modification, multicore cable terminating and glanding, wiring circuit breakers, CT's/VT's to marshalling kiosks and control panels, AC/DC wiring and replacing 33kV outdoor circuit breakers and isolators.

- A high regard for safety, especially on construction sites and CDM regulations with strong customer service skills.

- Previous electricity network operational authorisations would be extremely beneficial as would training and qualifications in scaffold, telehandler, furzeweld, working at heights, confined space, asbestos, COSHH, Loler and SMSTS.

- A clean driving licence and flexible approach to working hours and work location is a must because the role will involve extensive travel throughout our network area.

Salary: £33,063 - £38,404, Plus:

- Overtime & travel time available.

- 37 hour working week.

- Company vehicle provided.

- Training provided to gain further authorisations.

- Full PPE and tools supplied for the role.

- If based at Slough/West London this will also have a London allowance of £3,000.
