Full Job Description

As a Electrical Site Supervisor you will supervise and control all site electrical activities in the most efficient manner, to the specification and within the contract time and cost allowances without risk to the health and safety of all concerned and providing a quality end-product, ensuring good customer satisfaction.

  • Support the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners and visitors
  • Ensure compliance with Galliford Try's Electrical Safety Rules and The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
  • Check that all relevant documents adequately describe the work to be carried out and that all relevant HS&E documents are correctly recorded when received and that they are the latest version.
  • Review Method Statements and Risk Assessments
  • Supervise work to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with Method Statements and Risk Assessments
  • Record the progress of works on record drawings or other suitable means as required
  • Inspect and record incoming materials and their documentation where required
  • Record the location of materials within the works where traceability is required
  • Ensure site testing is carried out in line with IEE 18th Edition.
  • Record all non-conformance and improvement opportunities and agree action with the person in charge of the works
  • Recognise that Health and Safety considerations are central to all tasks and contribute to ensuring safe working environment for all.
  • Assist in planning
  • Change control - maintain good records
  • Customer and non-electrical trades liaison
  • Promotion of Galliford Try
  • Receipt and issue of drawings - site distribution
  • Variations - maintaining of accurate records
  • Quarterly reviews - assist with resource forecasting
  • Site drawing control
  • Site reporting
  • Method Statements and Risk Assessments
  • Construction completion & Take Over Certificate
  • Understand and implement the Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies and Targets.
  • Comply with the processes contained within the Galliford Try BMS.
  • Suggest improvements to the Galliford Try BMS when they become apparent.

  • Minimum of 3 years of working in the water/wastewater industry or 5 years in other 'relevant industries'
  • City & Guilds electrical installation
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
  • 1st Aid
  • SSSTS/SMSTS
  • CSCS/ECS
  • Preferable
  • HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering
  • City & Guilds APLV Certificate
