If so, wed love to hear from you!, As an Enforcement Delivery Casework Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the investigation and management of the top 30 cases to target the serious/serially non-compliant within the remit of DVSA enforcement activity.
The role holder will act as Senior Investigating officer (SIO) working within Driver area of the business to collect and evaluate evidence. The role holder will be responsible for the presentation of evidence for the appropriate regulatory scheme at Court on behalf of DVSA.
The role holder will be the National Portfolio lead (subject matter expert) having responsibility for raising the standards of investigation and quality of casework for prosecution and regulatory action across driver enforcement.
Where wider issues are identified, the role holder may need to liaise with Policy to resolve, or to arrange for communications to be issued within Enforcement. They will actively engage with staff networks to promote best practice.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Act as the Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) for all serious/serially noncompliance cases acting as a focal point for the collection and evaluation of evidence.
+ Lead the planning, preparing, and managing of serious/ serially non-compliant investigations to ensure all reasonable lines of enquiry are followed.
+ To ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, during initial activity and throughout the case management (for example, road traffic legislation, data protection regs, investigation regulations etc).
+ Responsible for identifying and applying different approaches and methodologies to support the investigations.
+ Providing regular updates of progress to Enforcement for the most serious cases.
+ Preparing serious/ serially non-compliant cases for presentation, evaluating and analysing a large amount of evidence and writing the final report.
+ Acting as a witness to present evidence for the appropriate regulatory scheme or any relevant Court acting on behalf of DVSA.
+ Interviewing relevant internal and external people, collecting evidence, and appearing in court as a witness in line with the relevant legal procedures.
For more information about the role and responsibilities please see the attached Candidate Pack., You will already hold or be prepared to work towards an Advanced Certificate in Investigative Practice - BTEC Level 7., This role can be based in Avonmouth, Bedford, Birmingham, Bristol, Chadderton, Chelmsford, Glasgow, Guildford, Hastings, Leeds, Llantrisant, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Nottingham or Swansea. Your presence at one of these locations will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you. We operate a hybrid working model giving you greater flexibility about where and when you work. Our expectation is that you will spend a minimum 60% of your time at your base location. Visits to other DVSA sites or work locations count towards this.
This role will require the successful applicants to travel within the UK, including some overnight stays.
Whilst we welcome applications from those looking to work with us on a part time basis, there is a business requirement, for the successful candidate to be able to work at least 34 hours per week.

We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience of working within an enforcement environment. You will have knowledge of an Electronic Casework Management System (ECMS), including experience of managing all aspects of casework, procedures, SLA's and referral processes. You will bring experience of planning and dealing with and managing investigations.
You have knowledge and experience of conducting interviews under the appropriate process. You have experience of working with the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996 (CPIA 1996) and Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA 2000).
You are an excellent communicator and can present information in a professional manner to a varied audience, which could include giving evidence in court or interviewing individuals to obtain evidence. You will be a natural communicator and able to hold your own during challenging conversations, with the ability to successfully handle conflicting situations., + Delivering at Pace
