The Royal Armouries & New Dock Hall is the largest dedicated conference, events and Exhibition space in Leeds. Our venue offers world-class facilities for high-profile conferences, conventions, exhibitions, awards dinners and corporate events for up to 2,500 delegates, hosting more than 380 national and international events every year. We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and outgoing Sales Executive to join our Sales team. As a Sales Executive, you'll play a key role in our team, handling customer requests and enquiries promptly and efficiently. You'll be responsible for approaching every sales opportunity with a positive attitude, in order to maximize sales and revenue to meet the venue's sales objectives, while delivering outstanding service to our valued customers and clients. More about the role:
- Proactively process enquiries for a number of events and to actively work as part of the sales team to increase and enhance revenues achieving overall targets.
- Conducting reactive sales activities including responding to telephone and e-mail enquiries
- Proactively sell the facilities by various techniques and always aiming to meet customer needs and exceed customer expectations.
- Consistently ensure the highest standards of accurate and timely customer, staff and management information.
- Develop client, venue and internal relationships through knowledgeable and effective enquiry handling
- Ensuring high level of conversion of bookings to achieve and exceed targets set.
- Work with event planners effectively in order to provide a seamless handover for final event details.
Possess Sales or event planning experience within the UK conference and events industry - Be able to work on own initiative and be a confident decision maker
- Will have a generally outgoing personality and enjoy social interaction
- Have excellent communication skills, verbally both on the phone and in person, and written
- Be self-motivated and can maintain focus in the achievement of sales targets
- Will demonstrate a thorough approach to work
- Be competent in Microsoft Office and have a good understanding of database management
- Confident and ability to be a team player
- Ability to inspire customer trust and confidence
- Ability to multi-task, think fast and to deliver solutions to customer requirements
- Have a passion for events and food
- Experience using Delphi / Salesforce would be advantageous
