Full Job Description

Routines are extremely important to support our daughter however we would like our new PA to bring new experiences and activities to the role.

The PA to help work to support our daughter in slowly working towards attending outdoor activities to develop her social and independence skills. Parents will plan the activities, including walks, playing in the park, beach, visiting shops, and activities by support groups which will be accompanied by me until Asiya is comfortable with the new PA

Our daughter uses picture boards to communicate and an app-based picture board, it is essential you can be calm and gentle to create a strong and trusting bond.

Our daughter needs constant supervision at all times, you will be working alongside an additional PA especially on outings, our daughter uses a wheelchair when outside the house because of sensory difficulties, but during activities when safe and secure she would want to be out of the wheelchair exploring.

Main duties

To ensure Asyia has a supportive environment, you will learn her nonverbal cues to understand her needs.

Supporting Asyia in their family home and local activities.

General housekeeping.

To ensure safety.

We are looking for a kind understanding patient and supportive person to support our 8-year-old daughter, experience would be beneficial however bespoke training will be provided for the right individuals. You must have a good level of fitness to meet the demands of a very activity little girl., You must be a warm and caring individual that will always give the best support.

No phones to be used during working hours (apart from during breaks or in an emergency)

Car driver with own vehicle
