Full Job Description

  • Lead the Accounting and Treasury input on the ICARA review document and any relevant SREP questions.
  • Own and prepare the financial models for the scenarios, stress testing and winddown.
  • Articulate the capital requirements of the Group within the ICARA review document including cross-function interaction with Operational Risk, FP&A and preparing papers for the Board of the UK Financial Holding Company
  • Regulatory Calculations
  • Calculate the monthly consolidated regulatory capital under the applicable FCA rulebooks.
  • Review monthly solo entity regulatory capital calculations for our Luxembourg, Jersey and Abu Dhabi entities.
  • Calculate the regulatory fee data returns for the UK regulated entities as prescribed by the FCA Handbook, and monitoring the impact of proposed changes noted in consultation papers.
  • Calculation of the fixed overhead requirement and K-Factors
  • Proactively assess processes and controls for improvements and to harvest efficiencies.
  • Contribute and work closely with the Finance Technology Team during the finance platform upgrade.
  • External reporting
  • Manage the quarterly FCA capital return process for the FCA supervised firms.
  • Review of subsidiary statutory accounts from technical and regulatory viewpoint.
  • Regulatory policy
  • Identify regulatory developments that may affect the capital requirements of the solo firms and the Group and reporting findings to the Janus Henderson Regulatory Developments Committee
  • Produce/review regulatory opinions on corporate transactions/re-organisation to ensure compliance with regulatory policies.
  • Provide technical support, training and guidance to the Accounting and Treasury team, management and directors.

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide financial insight and conclusions.
  • Ability to take a step back and review and challenge.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, for example at month and year end.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work with the team, especially important given the regular interaction with firm-wide departments.
  • Nice to have skills
  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post qualification experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting or financial control.
  • Proven experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and stress testing.
  • Strong excel skills for the forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Able to present complex financial information effectively and simply to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to challenge, influence and manage senior stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in the investment management industry preferred but not essential Regulatory reporting experience with a working knowledge of the FCA MIFIDPRU and IPRU(INV) handbooks is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficiency with SAP, BPC, BAO and Power BI will be beneficial.
