Full Job Description

We are recruiting a Food and Nutrition Technician to join our Design and Technology Department. This vital role supports our students' learning experience in Food and Nutrition. Duties include preparing materials and equipment for lessons, assisting teachers and students during practical sessions, maintaining a safe and organized environment and managing departmental resources.,

  • Assist teaching staff with lesson preparation and in-class support;
  • Supervise and support students during practical activities, ensuring safety standards are met;
  • Monitor stock levels, order consumables and manage departmental resources;
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety and functionality of equipment and facilities

    • What We Expect:
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (essential);
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills;

    • Previous experience in a similar role or working with children is desirable, but not essential. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share in this obligation. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure by the DBS.
