Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Doncaster, a category B Remand Prison located in he centre of Doncaster. The prison houses around 1150 male patients aged 18 years and up, ideal applicants for this role will have experience supporting patients with substance misuse needs. Hours Mondays 9am-5pm 2 sessions, Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community, as a General Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldnt usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment.
  • Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.
  • Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active
  • involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

    Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
  • Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
  • Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
  • RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications

    This position is part time, youll receive an annual salary up to £124,622 per annum FTE - depending on experience., £121,325 to £124,622 a year Up to £124,622 per annum FTE - depending on experience.
