Your impact Working within a team of over 70 Land contamination specialists throughout the UK and Europe, providing strategic advice and innovative solutions to manage our clients' environmental liabilities, in the role of Geo-Environmental Scientist you will lead and support the delivery of complex projects on time and to budget, providing expert advice and ensuring compliance. LOCATION - We have flexibility on where this role is based as we have offices in many major towns and cities across the UK. Remit and responsibilities will include:
- Supporting geo-environmental assessments, for a variety of projects across a wide range of sectors.
- Developing and implementing strategies for land quality assessment and remediation.
- Implementing ground investigations and assessments evaluate land contamination and environmental risks.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality consultancy services.
- The preparation and delivery of detailed reports and presentations for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues and peers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with Stakeholders throughout all facets of the project lifecycle.

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience of working in a geo-environmental consultancy.
- Proven track record in supporting all project life-stages (desk study through to remediation implementation).
- Good understanding of Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessment approaches.
- Good understanding of environmental legislation and risk assessment methodologies (including UK and international standards such as ASTM)
- Good understanding of emerging contaminants such as PFAS.
- A sound knowledge of CDM regulations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Good digital data assessment expertise.
- Ability to work independently.
- Professional certifications, or evidence of working towards them, (e.g., Chartered Environmentalist, CGeol, SiLC etc.) are a plus.
