Full Job Description

Group Financial Control is forming Financial Reporting Strategy, an essential team for Flutter's transition into a US-SEC ecosystem. This role requires expertise in performance and management reporting, accounting, USGAAP, Sox internal controls, SEC reporting, and compliance. As a Senior Manager for Group Reporting, you will be essential in the internal performance management process, delivering valuable insights through management reporting and facilitating data-driven decision-making. Your expertise in financial analysis and reporting will help communicate complex financial information to senior leadership. This outstanding opportunity enables you to work on our main finance technology systems. You will define system requirements, contribute to their development, and maintain and update them as necessary. You'll work closely with Group Finance, Divisional Finance, business collaborators, and Finance Tech to achieve our goals and maintain reporting consistency.,

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of performance management frameworks that align with the company's new strategic objectives.
  • Identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement across all business units.
  • Collaborate with department heads to establish performance targets and develop action plans to achieve them.
  • Ensure reports provide actionable insights and are presented in a clear, concise, and visually compelling format.
  • Manage initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of management reporting processes, including automating reporting tools and implementing advanced analytics.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and standard methodologies in performance management and reporting, applying them to improve the company's reporting capabilities.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for Audit Committee, Disclosure Committee, and Investor Relations presentations.
  • Manage and lead the improvement of documentation relating to internal controls over performance reporting.
  • Interact with external auditors including for the review of financial statements and appropriate disclosures under SEC and US GAAP requirements.
  • Mentor others as needed and offer support, advice, and assistance to ensure timely resolution and appropriate handling of issues.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with other functional groups, business segments, and collaborators.
  • Adhere to the philosophy of "continuous improvement" by always looking for ways to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes.
  • Communicate effectively with external personnel in multiple fields and varying levels of management, on a variety of complex issues.
  • Manage the quarterly Certification process.
  • Implement high-quality and timely reviews as necessary.
  • Strategy Formulation
  • Advise the Director of Group Financial Reporting Strategy on strategic decisions for Internal Reporting. Provide insights and recommendations for reporting strategy and operational execution.
  • Support strategy on AI capabilities in our reporting and planning efforts, bringing to bear automation and other tech tools to craft strong and efficient reporting solutions, minimizing human involvement.
  • Strategic Change Facilitation
  • Ensure accurate execution of finance system and data initiatives across the global finance function, in line with financial reporting and accounting requirements and the Group's goals.
  • Assist in monitoring the implementation of finance system and data initiatives, identifying risks, and ensuring mitigation to stay on course with desired outcomes.
  • Sox Controls Implementation
  • Ensure that a robust Sox controls framework is established as we redefine and build the future-fit reporting architecture for Flutter Group.
  • Monitor compliance to Sox controls to minimize the risks of Material Weaknesses and Significant Deficiencies in our internal reporting ecosystem.
  • Divisional Engagement / Service Delivery Model - Design & Implementation
  • Develop a scalable engagement model between Group & Divisional Finance functions.
  • Collaborating with business units to facilitate efficient operational support and decision making, while considering equivalent experience as an alternative to educational requirements.
  • Leverage the new model to drive Finance transformation into the divisions seamlessly, even in the absence of operational service delivery to certain divisions.
  • Work closely with all Group and Divisional finance functions to ensure that the finance systems and data model are used effectively and consistently by global finance teams.
  • Engaging with Collaborators
  • Support the Director of Group Financial Reporting Strategy as required, communicating strategic decisions regarding finance systems and data, their impact on internal reporting, and securing agreement from collaborators.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships across the organization to support finance system and data initiatives.

    Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience of operating in a listed reporting environment, SEC reporting experience is essential.
  • Demonstrated history of effectively managing and completing challenging projects and central initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage a diverse group of collaborators within the organization.
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
