Greenkeeper Apprentice (328993)

This is a full-time role based onsite at our manufacturing facility in Ipswich, Suffolk.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Maintaining the playing surfaces to a high professional standard of play and presentation;

· Maintaining the rough and bio-diversity areas to an environmental standard;

· Managing the irrigation system effectively and recording all water usage;

· Adapting the programs to suit local weather conditions and rainfall;

· Operating the course machinery to the standards set out in the operators instruction book and performing basic maintenance on the same machinery;

· Pruning trees, trimming hedges and cutting back shrubs as required;

· Assisting in the set-up of customer visits, demonstrations and product training as required;

· General site maintenance, including planting beds and general duties associated with the site

As a Greenkeeper Apprentice, we would ask you bring the following skills and experience:

· Good literacy and numeracy skills;

· Able to demonstrate practical skills;

· Logical thinker and the ability to identify and solve problems;

· Good attention to detail;

· Basic computer skills for record keeping and writing emails and reports;

· Ability to talk to people from different levels of the business and visitors alike;

· Entry onto the apprenticeship is also subject to 4 GCSE's including Maths & English 9-3 or equivalent.
