Full Job Description

Working within an experienced and friendly team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen; from creating menu's, to producing well-presented and balanced meals. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Cook or Chef looking for a varied role, escaping the stress and unsociable hours of hospitality!,

  • Creating a 4-weekly menu under the direction of the Home Manager and residents
  • Preparing meals considering residents preferences and specialist needs
  • Leading the kitchen team, setting standards within the kitchen and carrying out 1:1's
  • Ensuring the kitchen team are following infection control and health & safety guidance
  • Keeping kitchen records up to date and carrying out monthly audits
  • Following the correct procedures for ordering, delivering, storing and preserving of stock, including stock rotation
  • Attending meetings and training as required
  • Keeping up to date with latest legislation and company policies and procedures
  • Complying with the Food Safety Agency and HACCP guidelines

    Must have experience working in a similar setting
  • Will hold a Food Hygiene Qualification, or be willing to work towards this
